SEXXXY 1
In the hang him up scene in power of one close ups are used on pk’s and bortha’s face
For example after bortha got slapped they zoomed up on bortha’s face and then pk’s face
This technique created impact showing the audience the hate for one another
The director (John G Avildsen) did this to make the scene more dramatic
Combined with the lighting this made the scene a lot better with bortha’s face half dark half light
This can be compared to when they fight later on in the film it shows something’s bound to happen
SEXXXY 2
Music and sound effects are also used perfectly in this scene
For example after bortha is pushed down by pk the music stops and starts playing a boom sound
This is another technique that created impact telling us something's about to happen
The director did this to make the scene more creepy and suspicious
Combined with the dialogue this made the scene more interesting and better
This can be compared with a lot of movies when a jump scare is about to happen the music will stop or go to a creepy sound
SEXXXY 3
Another technique that is used in this scene is lighting
We see this when the teacher walks in he is in the dark you can not see his face at all
This creates a creepy effect and a suspicion of who he is
The director did this to make the audience wonder and suspect what will happen later
This combined with the sound effect of the slap makes this scene look and sound a lot cooler
This can be compared with fantastic four when the thing is hiding in the shade from his girlfriend
SEXXXY 4
Props are also used quite a bit in this scene
An example is the rope that borthan and the others used to tie up pk and the chicken
The rope shows what is going to happen and stuff
The director did this to show us what will happen as soon as you see the rope
This combined with the sack and the stone show what happened to the chicken is what will happen to pk after he said hang him up
This can be compared to the poo eating scene you see the poo you know what’s going to happen
